White crystalline powder or white trapezius crystal. Melting point is 247.5℃(decomposition). Soluble in water and hardly soluble in alcohol, acetoneand diethyl ether. They react with acid and base to generate sulphites and produce chelatewith metal. |
Applications
IDA is important raw material and mid-product in pesticide, rubber, surfactant, food additive, electroplating industry, synthesis metal surface treatment materia land ion exchange resin. In agriculture, IDA is used to produce herbicides glyphosate. As medical intermediate, its complex compound is used as raw material to generate anticarcinogen.
