Physicochemical Properties |
White powder. Melting point is 240℃(decomposition). Solubility at 25℃ is 0.5g/L in water. Poorly soluble in g eneral organic solvent. Soluble in 160℃ boiling water and alkaline solution such as sodium hydroxide solution. |

EDTA is mainly used as complexing agent, water treatment agent and additives of various kinds of detergents, skin care, conditioners. As treating agent for fiber cooking, EDTA could increase paper brightness and decrease scaling in boiler. They are not only utilized to prepare medicine to treat psoriasisbut also as vaccinestabilizer. In textile dyeing and printing industry, they could increase degrees of dyeing and dyeing textile’s tonal and whiteness. They are butylbenzenebenzene-off rubber latex polymerization activator and acrylic production plant polyreactionterminator.
